Junior Police Academy

The Maplewood Police Department would like to thank the NJSP Aviation Unit.  As part of the week long Maplewood Police Department Junior Police Academy, Troopers Stephanic and Steete landed one of the New Jersey State Police helicopters in Maplecrest Park.  The Troopers educated the Junior Police Cadets on the helicopter, the uses of the helicopter and their roll in law enforcement.  Cadets also visited the Essex County Police Academy and were educated by Maplewood Officers on basic policing during their academy time.  This years academy was a huge success.
